Its weird how music shape our lives. Or how that certain song can make or break a moment or even make it memorable.

Sitting here listening to Avril Lavigne tracks. And “Keep holding on” plays. Taking me back to 2007. When I lost a dear friend. That day me and a few of his cousins were on our way to look at what was left of his car. And this song played. It's like its imprinted in my brain. I always feel a chill or sad when I hear it. And to this day I will never forget that tragic moment.

On Monday, 16 January 2012, the world lost yet another wonderful person!

Tracy Kieswetter. One of a kind she was. The one person in the world who was pure of heart. Without a doubt! She was our momma goose. Her stunning beauty outside, was merely a fragment of what her heart was like. I swear it was as big as the world! She was proof that you can be beautiful outside and inside. Miss South Africa can kiss her ass!!!

After getting the news, I was in complete and utter disbelief. It was like I was waiting for someone to phone me back saying “psych!”. I tried registering but there was nothing. All I could think of was why her? There are so many horrible inhuman beings out there. Why did Tra have to go? Even though I know that she was in a better place, I still wanted her to be here.

Tracy was the one person you could entrust your whole life with. You could phone her at 12:30am, after having the worst break up ever, and she would get up to come and get you, take you back to her house and be with you. I wanted to tell her mom, if those four kitchen walls could talk, it would probably write a book. All the moments we shared there. The cries, laughs, inspirational words and of course gossip hehe. She was highly motivated and never took no for an answer. Tra always saw the good in everyone and never made any enemies. She was the poster child for the phrase, “make love not war”. She didn’t believe in animosity amongst friends, family or colleagues etc. And always said that if there issues, we need to talk about it and resolve it. And she wouldn’t rest until it is settled. That is how amazing she was. Putting the needs of others before hers. Apart from that, she was the glue that held us all together. Always making sure everyone is ok, that people stay in contact with one another, arranging visits, parties, trips. Anything. You could always leave it in Tracy's hands, and know that you will be safe and everything will be planned down to the tee!

Apart from that, Tra was always a very spiritual person, and her faith as solid as a rock! She helped me deal with things many a times. Especially the loss of my friend Oliver. And I always told her, I hope my faith would reflect that of hers. [Who's going to help me now Tra? :( ] Always positive and confident in God! She was always well prepared. Be it for an exam or just life in general. And she was always the first person I'd talk to, should I get stuck somewhere or if I was troubled. Because I knew, she would know what to do. Tracy was a true friend! A confidant and someone you REALLY could depend on. She would give her last piece of food from her mouth if she had to. That is how truly remarkable she was. Rare!

To Jody and Nicole. My heart bleeds for you guys. I cant imagine how and what you guys must be feeling now. And nothing makes sense at this very moment. But know that HE will answer all our prayers and HE will guide us all during this time of sorrow. Tracy would want us to keep the faith and be strong. Right?

To the Mini boys and Girls. Nothing will make sense at the moment. I was told that denial, anger, sadness and tears, is all part of grieving. So don’t hold back. Let it all out and know that together we can overcome this and keep holding on to all the good times, memories and thoughts. Love you guys always!

No words can ever express what a huge loss everyone is suffering.

The world will never be the same again.

May your soul rest in peace Tra and you will be loved, remembered and memories of you cherished forever and always.

I thought I'd share one of my favourite poems with you guys. Masterpiece I tell you!

Death Speaks - Taken from “To cut a long story short” By Jeffrey Archer.

There was a merchant in Baghdad who sent his servant to market to buy provisions . In a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said: “Master, just now when I was in the marketplace I was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned I saw that it was Death that jostled me. She looked at me and made a threatening gesture; now, lend me your horse and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate. I will go to Samara and there death will not find me”. The merchant lent him his horse, and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in its flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went. The merchant went down to the marketplace and he saw me standing in the crowd and he came to me and said:”Why did you make a threatening gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning”?

“That was one threatening gesture”, I said, “it was only a start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Baghdad, for I had an appointment with him tonight in Samara.”

Here we can see that Death, is the storyteller and that the man is running away from death to death itself. Ironic dont you think. And he think hes cheating death. All in all the moral of the story is YOU CAN NEVER ESCAPE YOUR FATE!

Oliver Fortuin Foundation

I have decided to dedicate this post to The Oliver Fortuin Foundation. The Foundation was started in memory of my friend Oliver Fortuin, who tragically passed away in October 2007. Still feels like yesterday.

Oliver was always a very caring and helpful person. A confidant and someone you can rely on, no matter what. Therefore we started the Foundation to ensure that this memory of Oliver lives on! One of the main objectives of the Foundation is to instill a sense of responsibility amongst the youth of the community and to help alleviate poverty. Thus the Foundation does charity work for the less privileged and try to make their day to day living somewhat bearable.

Over the past four years we had clothing drives, food hampers, soup kitchens, fundraisers, our Annual Ball and Christmas Carols by Candlelight to name the least. For more information you can go to our website OFF

MYLO XYLOTO

When I first heard the name, I was like wooot? But it was expected I suppose. Chris Martin told the people at the Daily Sun that the name has no meaning and the band has a lot of meaning and history, so it’s nice to have something that means nothing LOL

Anyhoo, this album has put me on a new high. Undoubtedly my second favourite album of Coldplay. (For those of you who didn't know, X&Y is my number one album). And yes, I freaking love every song! Even the short snippet/intro's. The way it all comes together and plays into one another. If that makes sense? My favourite is of course “Charlie Brown” (Because it reminds me of the “old” Coldplay. And no I'm not denying, their sound has changed. But which bands haven’t? And in this case its change for the better. My other favourites are of course Para para “Paradise” :) Gives me goosebumps each time I hear it hehe. Coz it takes me back to the concert hehe. If my memory serves me right, they shot half of the music video here in the pretty Cape Town. Oh and don’t forget the easy going Up with the birds and the mellow-ey “Us Against the World”. It hits home. The acoustic brilliance and vocal harmony. Sure to be a number one I tell you!! “UFO” is also a nice soothing track. To me, a song have to feel good and speak to me. Lyrics and all. My cousin said last night that “they” say this is the worst album ever. All because they feature Rihanna on it. Thus making it a cash cow. But I beg to differ. “Princess of China” just proves how much they have grown. And that they still are “with-it” like my uncle says hehe.

I can listen to this album over and over. And relate to so many things. A true Coldplay experience don’t you think? Can’t wait to own it. Like in the hard copy. So many people download nowadays. And hardly appreciates the true value of a CD. Yeah yeah, I have the downloaded version too LOL. But I just couldn’t wait. Nonetheless, that’s a discussion for another time.

This one is definitely a winner!! You won’t be disappointed (^_______^)

To any Jazz enthusiast, listener, crooner, this name shouldn’t be unfamiliar. I call her, voice of an Angel. Because I believe that’s what she truly is. Everyone knows I have this immense love for Blues and Soul music.

So when my mom returned from her Swedish trip she couldn’t stop talking about this artist. And she said I would love her. One of the Swedish ambassadors, gave her this album. On a lazy Sunday afternoon, I thought I'd give her a try. And my oh my. I was impressed! Blown away in fact. But why haven’t I heard of her before??? So I went to my bast frand Google hehe.

Melody Gardot was born in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Raised by her Polish grandparents, she grew up listening to artists such as Judy Garland, Miles Davis, Duke Ellingon, Janis Joplin and more. Her music has been compared to that of Nina Simone.

What struck me most about her, was the fact that in 2003, she was in a horrific accident. Suffering serious head and spinal injuries, confining her to a hospital bed for a year. As a result of that, she also had to relearn simple things, such as holding a pen, brushing teeth, walking etc. A musician then instructed her, that music will help her heal. During her time in hospital she started with physiotherapy enabling her to learn how to play the guitar and began writing songs. And this helped her improve immensely! She managed to record two albums, and many single covers. My favourite album is of course “My one and only thrill”. Her best work I believe. But you need to listen it, listen to her voice, the serenity within, to fully understand why I say “Voice of an Angel”.

It just shows, music heals all wounds. Literally!!

Oh em Gee!! I soooo cant wait for the release of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1. I told my friend the other day, that I will most probably will have to go see it 4 times hahaha. Which I totally don’t mind doing because its friggun jizz tastic! Im still wondering whether or not I'm going to wait till the teen craze is over to go see it, or whether or not I will be watching it midnight. Anyhooo...

I’ve recently started reading the book again. Just to refresh my memory hehe. Hopefully it wont be a disappointment. Because out of all the movies, I love Eclipse and Twilight more. New Moon was just depressing. Which I suppose is ok. Because Bella went through a depressing phase. But still. It felt like the movie was never going to end. Dragging. Whereas with Eclipse, something was always happening :) Nonetheless, the books are brilliant. And as always, nothing like the movies. For the mind has more to imagine.

So who are you taking with? And whose team are you on? One things for sure, alota shit is gona hit the fan teehee...

The time of my life!!

I’m sitting here still thinking of what to say. For I still cant believe that I was there.

COLDPLAY LIVE at Greenpoint Stadium, Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA!! One night only!

It’s been a month and no words can truly express how I feel and felt at that time. Yes dramatic you may think. But the power this band has is phenomenal. I never thought that I would come across fans more hardcore than myself. Mistaken! Haha Just thinking of that spectacular night, gives me goosebumps! I took a good friend of mine with. She was just as excited. And oddly enough, I didn’t get hyped up until the day of the concert . I was literally surfing the net looking for twitter updates and news. Posting pictures online. And just well, catching up on old Coldplay chunes and news etc. I did what I normally do, Wiki'd them :) And to my surprise, found out that back in 1996, they went with the name Starfish haha. Luckily in 1997 they switched to Coldplay. Good thing they did there. For who would have listened to “Yellow” by Starfish.

Anyhoo, back to the concert... As we got there, the stadium was still practically empty.

We sat in the middle section. Having a clear view. I remember telling my brother, when he booked the tickets online, that it doesn’t matter where I sit, as long as I can hear Chris Martins voice! And I think Mandy would actually agree with me. We had a pretty good seat. As time went by, the stadium started to fill up. It was my first true international concert experience. No, Chris Rock doesn’t count haha. All sorts of people attended. The spoilt little rich kids in hoards being loud as ever (who don't really give a hoot about the band and who’s just attending to say that they attended), the mellow “boem roekers” aka stoners, hardcore fans (who dressed the part), the closet rockers ( I think that’s where I fit in haha) and then the oldies. I was surprised at the amount of old people there were. It just shows. This is a quality band :D

Alas, the atmosphere was electric and I was counting down the minutes until the show really started. I was Blessed enough to also see The Parlotones. They opened. Wasn't bad at all. But the dude sounds the same in all the songs. And he started to bore me. And like any other public show, they were behind schedule which just made me more psyched up. This was my all time favourite band. A band whom I have been following since FOREVER. Have all the albums, love ALL the songs on each of them, and well a band that I've been praying for to come to SA. I remember telling my brother, that the day they come, I'll sell my kidney to get a ticket!!! That’s how important Coldplay is to me.

The clock finally struck 8! And the whole stadium went dark. An acoustic guitar started playing and my heart skipped a beat. For I immediately knew what the song was. Even got up before everyone hehe And boom! The whole stage went YELLOW! My goosebumps got goosebumps I tell you! Pure bliss! To be part of something so epic! I wanted to cry. For I knew every song, word for word. And sang with from the heart. The only song I didn’t know was “Paradise”. Its from their latest album Mylo Xyloto. But even when they did that song, I was in awe of their greatness!!! The way they planned the concert was beautiful. Using pyrotechnics and lighting. Every song had a theme and colour. I might not have been in the golden circle, but where I stood, my one dream came true. And I will never forget 2011-09-05!

They played all the greats. Yellow, Shiver, Politik, Lost, Till Kingdom Come, Violet Hill, Clocks, In my place and more... I was sitting there, patiently waiting for my number one hit of theirs. They then did a stunt. Where they said thanks and went off stage. And I knew, any time now, its coming. And like people are, STUPID, some of them actually started leaving. Haha. I told Mandy nope. They're not done. And as expected. They came back for an encore. Yes you guessed it. They saved the best for last. “FIX YOU” taken from their third album X&Y. Brilliance. I remember still making a video for my friend Naaz. And I forgot that I was singing with haha. She commended me on the vocals.

Eventually when they were done, ending off with “Every tear drop is a waterfall”. That’s when it struck me. I was here! I was part of it! Heehee I didn’t have a voice the next day. But it was all friggun worth it! And I wouldn’t mind doing it all over again. To this day, I still thank God and my Brother, for without them, it would not have been possible.

Hopefully one day, before I leave this earth, I will be able to see them perform once more :)

Game of Thrones

Whenever I think of this Series, I cant seem to stop smiling. Hehe. It is of epic proportions! (no pun intended of course)

I cant remember when last I was this excited for something on tele. Oh wait, I can. Lord of The Rings was probably the last thing. I remember getting my brother, to buy all the books. Because the movies were just taking too long :D

Everyone is saying this is the same as Spartacus . I beg to differ. Yes it has the same epic elements. The drama, seduction, betrayal, barbarism, action etc. But what makes Game of Thrones so jizz worthy is the fact that you can never say whats going to happen. You know when you think, this is it, this guy is going to do that, then BAM! It hits you right in the face LOL. Nothing is ever as it seems in the kingdoms. So as the titles so rightfully says, You win or You die :) Fitting don't you think?

Basically, is about the battle for power between the 7 Kingdoms in Westeros. Each unique with their own standards, traditions and of course people. Don't worry, I wont say anything else. Because it is just so damn brilliant that yo have to go and watch for yourself!!

After watching the much anticipated ultimate chick flick, "Friends with Benefits", starring Justin Timberlake and the oh so sultry Mila Kunis, I couldn't help myself but write something about this Taboo subject.

So many things to say LOL. I had an interesting discussion with one of my friends the other day. Where he tried to convince me that there's no feelings between him and his "fcuk buddy". I just lol'd and told him he is in for a ginormous surprise. Why? Well firstly, because I am a female. And I know how we think and feel. Anyone who tells me otherwise, lives in Egypt! For they are swimming in deNIAL river! m0ahahahahahaha

Anyhooo, the point that I'm trying to make is, that its NEVER just Friends with Benefits. Whether your're intimate, or just snogging. Same thing applies. If its going on for longer than 3weeks, feelings will develope. TRUST ME! You start to care about that certain person more, you think about him/her more, infact, subconciously its all you think about. And you're so caring that whichever decision you make, that person's feelings will always be taken into consideration first. And before you know it, it hits you in the face! You are falling for said person. And the fact that he/she is seeing someone else, or even mentions someone else, you go rampant.

See, you fool yourself by thinking, "ag its only once." Then it evolves into a weekly thing, and then what happens? He/She's the first person you call when somethings wrong. The first person you share something hectic with. The first person you phone to change your flat. All these things should be signs. But us being us, ignores it. Because we elude ourselves into thinking that theres nothing. And we can be badass and do the no strings attach thing. Have I got news for you. Get out while you can people! Unless of course, you want to be right there. With no plans to move forward. And to forever be that booty call or random girl. Then by all means.. Enjoy it :)

What people tend to forget is, intimacy is sacred. And dont tell me "but what about a one night stand". Thats something totally different. Once you share that bond with that someone more than once, things change. People change. My mom always says, "Sex changes everything!" Even in the movie its proven LOL Don't fool yourself into thinking its just a movie. Things like that never happen in real life. But if I'm not mistaken, are'nt most movies and books based on real life events? Experiences? So dont be a noob and play the ignorant card. I implore you...

Just to clarify, there's nothing wrong with the occasional fling. With a buddy or an acquittance. But the moment the game turns into something regular, i.e longer than 3months.... your're going to be stuck in that. And the everyone knows, once your're in the friendzone, you can never escape haha. But like I said, each unto his own. If you like it, then go for it. But if you're looking for something more permanent and lasting, then this is not for you. And dont think that he/she is going to change, and see you for who you truly are. Because any person who does not want to get with you without sex, is not going to get with you with sex. If that makes sense LOL

In conlusion, I want to say that as contradictory as it may sound, doing it once is fine. A one night stand. Nothing wrong with that. Because then you know that's all there is to it, but the moment you agree to FWB, you're screwed! (no pun intended... or wait. ... pun intended! bwahhahahaah) The moment it continues, you can bet your ass, you guys will indirectly be in a relationship LOL. And I would'nt want to burn the bridge to friendship shore all because of some nuki.. Dont you think?

Lesson of the day: Avoid the awkwardness and get a stranger to bang! mwahahahaa and not a homie!

Ever since I could remember I have been a nail polish addict!! And no! Not the sniffing kind bwahahahaha. I have about every colour that you can think of. My mom says, our nails have become a fashion accessory because lately your nails have to suit your outfit. I couldn't agree more. At the moment I'm wearing Grey tights, a black top and silver jewelry. And yes you guessed it, Grey nails!! heehee

I think what makes it so fun is seeing the end result. Because people don't take into account that our skin colour plays a huge part heehee. Stupid I know. But nonetheless FUN :P

I love fooling around with different textures and colours. And even styles. As you can see below:

LOL dont worry. I wouldn't go and put all the colours on one hand heehee. That's just for when I cant seem to make up my mind, then I will send a piccy to my friends and then they decide heehee.

Where brands are concerned I prefer RIMMEL :) Their nail-polish lasts the longest and doesn't get all sticky and thick after a while.

My ultimate dream is to perhaps oneday develope my own brand and style heehehe. But for now, I'm going to have fun and accessorize those nails :P

I'm lying here in my bed. With mixed emotions. Feeling so elated...something I haven't felt in a long time. But yet I feel sad at the same time. For the one person I want to share my happiness with, is still upset with me.. I don't even know why anymore :( kinda heart sore don't you think?

Today I can rightfully say... I miss my friend!! We've been bffs for 9years. If not more. I don't know what went wrong. But apparently I broke us. *tear. I hope that wherever she is though, that life is treating her good. I wish she could share in my happiness and still could be part of my life. But I suppose there was a reason we "broke" up.

I wish I could cast everything aside and just speak to her. Tell her of my trials over the past year. Tell her that I made it. I survived that horrible ordeal. And that I'm ecstatic for the future. But what if she's still hurting? What if she's not ready yet. Wouldn't it be selfish of me? Obviously things won't go back to normal. Coz its been broken for so long. But what if? Just what if the feelings mutual? Wouldn't that be great?

Aaargh! I hate feeling so dumb! I hope she knows that I still care about her. That I wish things could have been different. That I still think about her and still cherished all our mad moments together! And that I would like to have her by my side once more.

What's the point of happiness if you can't share it.. Right?

Can you say LIMBO?

Oh my word! I get goosebumps by merely just thinking of it. This is most simplistic game ever and is sooo addictive.

Basically it revolves around this boy, who is uncertain of his sisters fate. He enters "Limbo" in search of finding the answers that will lead him to her.

G4TV.com/games are calling it "..hauntingly beautiful and philosophically provocative". And I couldn't agree more. Theres no soundtrack, just the sound of the elements in the background and you running through Limbo. Its eery yet very attractive. At first I was a bit shocked at the violence factor, but what makes it so beautiful is the black and white surroundings and the clever puzzles that we have to solve. I was so intrigued, I even sat there, watching my brother playing it hehe.

Limbo has the same simplicity as Sony PlayStation's Little Big Planet, making it very user friendly and just a blast to play. I think this is going to be a huge success for PlayDead and cant wait to play some more heehee.

Its available on Xbox 360 and now also on PS3 :)

Who knew that getting stuck in Limbo could be this fun!

In lieu of yesterdays slaughter, I couldn't help but write something about the tremendous heartache, disappointment and well, just plain old sadness I felt. As many of you know, I am a die hard Arsenal fan! Born and bread. Watched the footie with my dad and brother, and fell in love with the Frenchmen and his Managing style.

I can’t fret enough on how yesterdays match shouldn’t have happened the way it did. Those youngsters did not deserve it. And they most certainly were not experienced enough to handle all that pressure. We all know how mordant Manchester United fans and players can get during a game at their home turf. Thus as the game started I had little faith. (Yes I know, not very supporting of me) But how can send a reserve 10man squad into the bowl of the devil and not expect an 8-2 outcome. Unfortunately I do not have cable, and followed the game online. And by the 6^th goal, I wanted to cry *sad panda* Coz we were anal raped!!! It’s a good thing I stayed home too. Because I would have been massacred by all my ManU friends. If I were a ManU fan, I would actually not be happy. Because this is our weakest we’ve ever been. So there’s no challenge. But you see, to ManU it doesn’t matter. A win is a win. I actually pitty the fools.

And what I find is most upsetting is, how people, who do not support any team, people who don’t even watch soccer, suddenly became ManU “fans” yesterday. Being nasty and making all kinds of comments on the game. Jumping on the “Glory Glory Man United” bandwagon and debasing all that is Arsenal. Its those same idiots who still thinks Beckham plays for ManU.

I spoke to my fellow Gooners. Many of them were upset. Yes Wenger needs to spend some real cash now, and buy someone of worth. I don’t think he should be sacked though. Not now, not any time soon too. Because if you look, over the past 15years, Wenger has done amazingly :) and even though it’s been what 5years since we won some silver, I think he has a plan. And that we will emerge from this catastrophe greater and stronger than ever. Look at Liverpool. I think a few months back, they were worse off than us. But as it is said in Transformers LOL “The Fallen Shall Rise Again”!! And that is why I urge you fellow Gooners to not give up hope and stand strong behind our bellowed Gunners. For in Arsene we trust!!

After a weekend of sore feet LOL and legs, I simply had to do this.

So on Saturday, me and my lovely ladybugs, went to the club! My oh my :) can't remember when last I had so much fun itelu. Dancing whooole night haha (hence the sore feet) Now I consider myself an observer of sorts. And let me just say this, they should write a "Clubbers guide for dummies" bwahahaha. Coz lotsa people get it so wrong. Not that I'm judging or saying I'm doing it oh so right. But daaaang, theirs a fine line between trying too hard, and being an idiot LOL

*Kindly note: This is merely from a girls perspective. So don't hate haha or else I could always pour you some HATERADE? Anyhoo...

What I observed:

In the one corner you have the Fly guys. Guys so fly you'd think you're in a G6 bwahaha. Or like I call them Glamour boys. They think they're the ish and can do and say to a girl just about anything. (Which I think is lame) Coz we're not toys. Anyhoo, like zebras, they all look the same, dress the same, act the same, thus being BORING and too plastic for my liking.

Then u get your bar hoggers. Guys/Girls, constantly at the bar. Not even buying anything. Just standing there like its the new black. I.e crocodiles floating in the water, waiting for the antelope to come have a sip. In order for them to go in for the kill. Bwahaha. Ya right!

And of course, you get the Posers! Ladies looking like peacocks haha. Dressed to the tee, with heels so high they can barely walk on it, dressies/tops so short they can't sit in it, hence the posing. Coz it requires minimal movement. No dancing, no sitting, just posing. Which IMO is LAME! You might as well go stand on a corner somewhere haha. Coz in essence all they want is attention... Right?

Then there's the pigs, people who drink waaaay too much and can't handle their booze. Thus getting violent and sloppy. The old birds, moms and dads clubbing with their kids (WHICH IS A NO NO, NO MATTER HOW COOL YOUR PARENTS ARE). You also get the hens, having a hen party LOL. I.e bachelorette, and the monkeys! Men going wild and being silly whilst having a stag party.

Hmm who did I forget. Ahh, then of course you get the weird guys. Who's just random. Men(who's not bad looking) who's out on the prowl. Its actually freaky. Coz you can see they only came to the club for one thing and one thing only. Like a Lion looking for his livestock. Trying to bump and grind with every girl that allows them to. Seeing which one is eager and willing. And who's taking the bait. Er no thank you?

Which leads me to the next group of animals. The cubs. The young bloods. "In Afrikaans we say, Nat agter die ore!" They are so young and vulgar and want to try out everything. Acting all cool and shit. Then they end up making complete fools of themselves. Drinking too much, vomiting everywhere, talking loudly, dressing inappropriately(coz its what they see in a fiddy cent music video) and being scandalous like its how young adults should be. Urgh! I hate teeny boppers who think they are older and wiser! If I were to open a club, my age restriction would be no under 25's :)

I've always considered myself a classy yet fun person. That's why people like this irk me! No where is it written down, that you have to be a hoe bag toe have fun LOL.

Which brings me to my last group. My Friends! Heehee. Not bothered with a single soul. Just in the club to do exactly that! Dance, drink, talk and laugh. Make fun and just be silly :) the perfect animal for us is HOMOSAPIEN mohahahaha. We couldn't care less about playing silly games, or flirting with said opposite sex, or posing or being glamorous. What makes us unique is, as long as we're all together, having the time of our lives, who cares about stigma and societies rules. I say foook it! In the bum bumzz.

And we did exactly that. "Ons het oorgevat" haha! So tip of the day: Don't allow yourself to succumb to the stupid ideals of society and be normal and boring. And be fine with being easily stereotyped. Why be an animal if you can be #awesome instead! People nowadays watch too much television. Thus getting sucked into the ball sack of socialism, coolism and out right plainism. LOL. Be complex, and stop following rules! You can and should be your own ISM! :)

...much ado about nothing...

How many of you can still remember the song; “Let’s talk about sex baby, let’s talk about you and me, let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things …” LOL Sex being the topic at hand here. I couldn’t help but notice that in ¾ of the conversations or cliques I find myself in, tend to talk about it ¾ of the time, all the time. Not that I’m judging or complaining about anything. Coz yes, I tend to make my quirky comments too sometimes. But not ALL THE TIME!!

The thing that brought upon this topic hehe was the fact that I’ve been celibate for quite some time now. And look, there’s nothing wrong with me. I’m more alive than ever and kicking. Now my cousin comes and tells me, but “Ya it can’t be a conscious decision. Because everybody MUST have sex!” Turning it into a whole issue… What is so wrong in not doing it? And most importantly, what is so wrong in choosing not to do so for a brief or long period of time?

Let me paint a picture quick. I had a messy break up October 2010. I decided to rid myself of all toxins and bad memories, as well as intimate moments with Mr X. Gave myself a 6 months cleansing period before I want any sexual encounters. And it’s month 7 now, and I’m doing all good. Yes there’s that one time of the month when you go crazy and want to have mad bunny sex, but it comes and goes.

Does that make me lame? Or not one of the crowd? On the contrary.. I think it makes me extraordinary. J Why? It’s simple. I did not conform to societies rules and lame norms, and, it just makes the whole thing so much better. Like savouring a good wine. Why must I throw my cat around for everyone to play with? If I do find Mr Worthy, and tell him about it, we can have a laugh and eventually everything will happen as it should. Quite frankly I’m in no rush. Besides, there are so many other things I can invest all my energy into. But now you get those who say, “Ya but everyone has needs, or it is part of who we as humans are…” etc etc.. Yes I get all that, but don’t you think needs differ from person to person? That maybe my needs are much more personal than sum bumping and grinding? Don’t get me wrong.. I’m not against sex LOL not at all. But my koekie klop nie nou nie. And I’m just taking a break… for now that is.

GAME ON: XBOX 360 vs SONY PLAYSTATION 3

Wow. How did I forget about this hehe. There's this ongoing battle amongst my peers, and even the older generation, as to which console is better. Note that I'm not including the Wii in this little review of mine because I have not played it yet. Suffice to say, I highly doubt that I will because Nintendo has never appealed to me....

Anyhoo, lets begin. Here's some techy details:

What Carmy thinks?
Personally both are equally good consoles, but for me, the Xbox's online gaming experience is way better. Not to mention their interface is very user friendly. I immediately knew what I had to do, whereas with the PS3, I struggled LOL. The inverted menu's, all the different sub menu's urgh! What a waste.

There is also, the price comparison. Here in SA a normal 320gig PS3 is about R4999, and the Xbox is R3999. Also, the games of an Xbox are cheaper. Sony keeps on boasting about its Blu-Ray and graphics. I say, Even without Blu-Ray, the Xbox's graphics looks way better.

But alas, each unto his own right? I think the xbox is more for hardcore gamers. With titles such as Gears of War, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, Assassins Creed, Guitar Hero (My fav btw) it makes multi-player so much better. Whereas PS constantly boats with games such as Tekken, GT5, God of War, Devil may Cry, all One player games. I think that's kinda boring. But, I can say this. I have played many Car games, but nothing plays like Grand Tourismo. It feels real and is definitely better than Need for Speed. The variety of Cars and Courses. Power Jizz I tell you!!

I said this to my brother the other day, the only reason I would buy a PS is to play GT5 and Little Big Planet! Reason being, those games are not on Xbox. LOL. I'm secretly hoping that LBP will sell on Xbox though, because that's the ultimate multi-player hehe.

In conclusion I think I can say, that overall the Xbox kicks major ass. Whether you're watching and downloading Movies, Music, Trailers, Themes or just want to play with your buddies in Australia or Europe, its the ultimate console. And makes a great Party tool. Everyone can join in!

One Friday evening I thought I’d stay indoors and watch some tele with the Moms. Now many of you know, that we do not have cable. My mom doesn’t feel the need for it Anyhoo…As we lay there watching Cribz, Runs House, The Hills etc. my mom just gave a shrug and asked, how in Gawds name is this entertaining?? I lol’d and told her, well, “Americans love reality shows.” They are after all the people who started everything. Survivor, Big Brother, The Apprentice, The Osborne’s you name it. That’s where I first heard and started watching it.

Then it progressed… Keeping up with the Kardashians, Girls of the Playboy Mansion, 16 and Pregnant, Jersey Shore, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, So you think you can Dance, Idols etc. And then, the Arts, Cuisine and Fashion Industry started with it too. Jamie Oliver’s the Naked Chef, Debbie’s Painted House, Project Runway, Top Chef… the list is endless! What I have realized though, is that it’s not just Americans. Society in general loves reality shows and everything about it. Staged or not.

Which brings me to this conclusion: People, love hearing about other people LOL. Stupid I know. But it’s true. Look at it this way, why do people gossip? Or why are they constantly in each other’s beeswax? Because they love it. Some thrive on drama and others thrive on scandal. Which is kinda disturbing when you thing about it… (O_o)But alas, its human nature hehe. So who are we to judge right? Just think, this is the very reason why social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, My Space, Netlog etc..is so SUCCESSFUL. Because we like having an inside scoop of other peoples lives. And yes, I am guilty too because I am registered by two out of the four. hehehehe

But back to television. I’m going to be honest and say I simply love Project Runway, The Kardashians, Kendra, Jersey Shore,The Hills, any reality show that revolves around Cooking, Music or Art. I was laughing at my cousin the other day. We briefly watched an episode of Kourtney and Khloe takes on Miami. She was getting upset and irritated at them LOL. She was like, “They are so fake! How can they be this way! Look at them! So pathetic!” So I told her, there’s no point in ranting and raving. Reality shows are like the Twilight Franchise. People just assume and start hating. It’s true that some bits are corny, cheesy, heck even fake. There are most certainly good parts yes! But at the end of the day, IT SELLS. And that’s all that matters.

Haters are gonna hate, and pick you apart piece by piece for watching it. But alas, that’s their problem. Not mine. I bet you’re thinking, “but some of the stuff are scripted, if not all..so how does this make it reality?”Thing is, it’s all just Entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. Even my dressmaker, who’s a very spiritual person, and extremely matured, loves watching reality shows. So no matter whom, I think there’s a bit of Kendra, Gordon Ramsey, Kim Kardashian and even Mike “The Situation” in all of us *giggles*.

Moral of the story: We shouldn’t be so quick to judge on what *they do. *They are after all the ones raking it in!!(^__^) Don’t you think??

Doesn't everyone just want someone?.......

There is so much outside pressure and personal yearning to find someone. A person you can hold, someone you can't get enough of, someone you enjoy spending time with. Someone you get along with so much you think they must be nothing but an amazing extension of your own being, but at the same time they're someone totally different and amazing, so much so you can't get enough of them. A person who you can spend all day hanging out with, and after you say good bye their image is imprinted in your mind all night, where you wake up in the morning and cant wait to hear from them or see them again (yes, I felt this way once). I think maybe everyone's got someone, it's just a matter of whether or not they find that particular person and how soon.

Right??.... but what if? What if you're fine on your own? Is it a crime?

Seriously, society and its norms... eish, how depro! What’s so wrong in fixing myself before I allow others in? I want to be sorted on my own, get rid of all the baggage (if I have of course LOL) before I introduce some guy into this little world of mine. And then, some folk still look at me all weird, like I'm on cheap crack ,haha, when I tell them I'm awesome on my own haha. And have yet to meet Mr Right. What’s so wrong with that? Don’t you just hate it when your family or even friends tell you, “ ooh you're getting old, its time to make a plan. When is the boyfriend/girlfriend coming along?” Shouldn’t it be up to you? Why is it their problem?

Here’s something a very wise friend taught me:

A couple, is 2 things. 1+1 = 2 right? Not 0.5 + 1.

Two whole things make up a couple. So the way I see it, you cant have one fully functioned person in a relationship only. With the other one being “broken” or with baggage. You need 2. TWEE. TRES. Nii whole things. Irrespective of the fact that some people say “ Ya but maybe I can fix him, or he is my savior, he will fix me.” Sorry but it doesn’t work that way! Trust me, I've been the “ I can fix him” girl. Initially it all catches up to you. Call me what you wish, a hater, perfectionist or even a cynic. The fact of the matter is, it should be your business and yours alone whether or not you want someone in your life. PERIOD! (no pun intended) So here's to all the happy single folk out there. As I'm sitting here, going through my hard-drive, looking for things to delete, I just saw that 123GB is occupied with Music ONLY :) Says a lot about a person no? This is music I've collected ever since I can remember. When I was little, I can remember my dad, granpa and brother watching sport on tele, and I will be sitting by the hi-fi with my earphones :) Either listening to the radio or yes, you guessed it, old school LP's hehehe. Music as old as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and a classical favourite, Tchaikovsky. I guess the seed was planted there already hehe. People tend to say I'm weird when it comes to my choice of music, then there’s others who compliments me on my great taste of music (pretty chuffed with myself) One things for sure, if it weren’t for music, I would probably be dead or some random person drifting aimlessly around this place we call earth.

I can babble on an on about my favourite artists, bands, songs etc, thing is, there is waaay to many to mention and not just that, I basically like any and all types of music. Yes even country :P So the list will be endless, and not to sound like a prude, but I highly doubt many of you will know who the fook I'm talking about. Music has been my saviour, motivator, cheering me up when ever I'm down and out. My mom always complains when I turn up the volume while I'm busy cleaning or doing something constructive LOL. But funny enough, when I play music from her “time” , she doesn’t say a thing, and even tend to sing along hehe. The best person to listen music with is most probably my brother. He taught me most of the things I know when it comes to the Rock, Rap, Hip Hop and the Acoustic era. I must say, out of all the genres my most favourite has to be House (whether Electro or African), shortly followed by Dubstep & Drum and Base (a.k.a Jungle) and lastly Rock (whether Alternative, Emo, Thrash, Metal anything with an electric guitar basically :D)

So to honour my love for music, I went and got a tattoo on my forearm hehe. Crazy, I know, but I loooove it!!!

I am also considering getting an electric guitar incorporated with one bar of music as well as a few cherry blossoms. But that’s a story for another day ;)

All in all I can say that without music I am nothing. It takes me from strength to strength and at times, guides me. I also get things done simpler and faster and it always puts that kick in my step. No matter what (^_____^) What does music do for you?

As I woke up this morning, my phone rang. And weirdly enough, my ringtone is Regulators. Unaware of the news, I just went on with my regular day. Until I checked my twitter page, and saw everyone tweeting about his unexplained death.

I think the Rap community has truly lost a legend. And that he will be missed. 41 years WOW. So young? I only started listening to him and the oh so famous "Regulators" when I was in high school. 2000 I think. And all thanks to my brother hehe. After listening to Regulators one afternoon while he was working out, I was hooked. After that, my instant favourites were "Ain't no fun if the homies cant have none" and "Lay Low". I bet Warren G wont be the same after yesterday. Sad but true. Don't you think?

Nonetheless, may he r.i.p and forever be remembered as the true Regulator!

As I'm sitting here, browsing the internet for "Grecian Style" dresses. I came across a very interesting article. Now many of you make think, yeah yeah its been said and done already, so my bad for not having cable LOL. But what are some women out there thinking when it comes to breast enhancement surgery.

Take Heidi Montag for instance. The Hills recently started on SABC3. And here's this cute skinny girl. Can basically fit into anything. I remember, I was still watching an episode with my one friend, and she told me, "Shame, Heidi looks so fucked up now." Unaware of what she meant, I just continued watching. Until I finally went to Google LOL. And I must say, DANG this beesh is uggo!

Now obviously some men would love a body like this. But can you say Barbie? I'm all for plastic surgery, don’t get me wrong, but there comes a time when enough should be enough and when shit shouldn’t look as fake as this. Don't you agree? The proportions are unreal, the boobs look fake, not to mention her platinum blond tresses and there's just something wrong with the whole picture. Seriously, if I were Spencer, and we were in bed the morning, I'd chew of my arm if she was lying on it. LOL Like Ludacriss does it bwahahaha.

The point I'm trying to make is, big boobies aren’t as glam as Hollywood makes it out to be. You get back pain, stretch marks, cant wear pretty tops all the time, very seldom go bra-less or strapless and men tend to think your face is down there. Trust me, I know ;) Speaking from DD experience, I would rather have an A cup and wear a Wonder Bra, than pay R400 - R600 on a decent Minimizer Bra at Woolworths. I don’t get why most girls want big breasteses. And its just so sad when they get it to impress men.. What about breast feeding one day? Sometimes the attention is ok I suppose, but not ALL THE TIME :( If you get a boob job for yourself, that’s cool. But if its for your ego, to get attention or even for a guy, I kind of think its pathetic. Why not let it grow the natural way LOL. There are so many tricks out there. But once again we can see, that the media and Hollywood has a very strong influence on such trivial matters. *sigh* I'm beginning to think that nothing good ever comes from that place hakwakwa. Nonetheless, each unto his own I suppose.

Thus we can ask ourselves: Do guys really prefer the women this way? Or is it just a myth? Or are women generally so insecure? One thing is for sure, at the end of the day, everyone’s tits and ass sag. No matter the shape or size. The epidermis stretches over a period. Unless you're an alien LAWL.

A tsunami warning has been issued for most of the Pacific after a magnitude 8.9 earthquake struck Japan, triggering a deadly 10-metre high tsunami.
Numerous injuries and at least 19 deaths have been reported after the quake struck off Japan's North Eastern coast on Friday afternoon.

The quake caused many injuries, fires and a wall of water across the coast, prompting warnings to people to move to higher ground.
A tsunami warning was put in force for New Zealand just after 8.30pm, when the US tsunami monitoring centre widened a warning to virtually the entire Pacific coast, including Australia and South America.
New Zealand's Civil Defence said a small tsunami was expected to hit here shortly after 6am on Saturday. It warned boaties to shift vessels.

Marvel vs DC

Over the past few weeks, I have become totally obsessed with superheroes. Movies, Series, you name it. I must say, I have always been a fan of Smallville. Followed it up until season 6. Got tired of waiting for Clark Kent to fly. LOL But then, one random day, I got a preview of what season 9 would look like. Thats when I immediately starting watching again and it also kind of saddened me when I heard season 10 is going to be the last. No more hunky Tom Welling buahahaha.

Also, I suddenly felt the urge to see animated movies. For about 2 years I had some on my drive but never even thought of watching it. I then took one day to have a marathon LOL. I watched greats such as The Green Lantern - First Flight (Ryan Reynolds, to star in the remake), Ultimate Avengers 1&2, Batman Under the Red Hood, Justice League - Two Earths.. etc

This got me thinking, in an all-out brawl to the death, to the very last man, who would win: the DC Universe or the Marvel Universe?

In one corner, we have the DC Universe, populated with hosts of nigh-invincible super-beings like Superman, Wonderwoman, Doomsday, Batman, Vision and the Green Lantern. These folks have collectively battled through numerous galactic Crises'. Some immortal and indestructible. In the other corner, the Marvel Universe is full of heroes legendary in their own right, but also flawed and mortal. Marvel characters, by design, are a bit more down to earth. Aside from the Hulk, you’d be hard-pressed to find many ultra-powered beings in the Marvel Universe. You do have super-powerful beings like Doctor Strange, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Professor X, Thor, and Galactus easily capable of delivering a hefty blow to Superman and his homies.

But IMO: When all other heroes fail, there is always one being that stands above them all: Superman. Only two weaknesses could be a chink in the Man of Steel’s armor: kryptonite and his innate goodness. [and yes I'm being biased haha]

So who do you think would win? Would you not pay money to see Tony Stark duke it out with Bruce Wayne? Or the Hulk hold a slugfest with Superman?

After having worked with Justice, Mika and other musicians before, Coca-Cola now gets together with the iconic electronic duo Daft Punk on their latest limited edition “Club Coke” bottle. The bottles of course come in gold and silver, just like the helmets that the two are known to wear for all their public appearances. The bottles will come in a limited edition box set. With a release set for beginning of March 2011, you can be sure that these bottles will be hunted down by fans! Hopefully we will get them here in SA. Because I know alotta Daft Punk Homies :P

So it doesn't surprise me that this is my next topic, why?

Well because I've seen people walk out on one another because of it LOL, girls getting nasty over it, and well, boys being boys, all chuffed and so on, about their toys. [Kindly note though, that the comments below are just in my personal opinion, you can do as you please with the info]

I actually don't think I have to say anything, because the picture says it all :)

Lets start with my personal favourite (yes I am going to be bias) the ANDROID i.e most HTC's, Samsung Galaxy S and the Sony Ericsson Experia X. I've said it before. Android is the future. I had the pleasure of playing with a HTC for a few months and it was glorious! From the Android Market, to its multi-tasking abilities. Something that myself, as a Sony Ericsson user, really appreciate. Also, for some or other reason, all HTC's have these sleek designs. Its not as bulky as a BB and not as flimsy as an iPhone. Heck I don't even wanna touch an iPhone LOL too scared of breaking it. :P What makes Android so *imbarrr is probably the Android Market. With over 700 000 applications, widgets, games etc, you can literally turn your phone into your pc at home. People will contest and say " yeah but Nokia has OVI store" . BS!! Not only does nokia slow down after a while, the OVI store is retarded. The applications freezes, and stuffs up your whole phone.
Android, is user friendly, fast and what you see is what you get!

As for the other 2 phones. Blackberry is a cult LOL. My one friend made that statement on Facebook and let me tell you, it was hilarious. Over 37 comments. People started getting buck nasty, suma attacking one another in their personal capacity. The thing is, the only thing that makes Blackberry so popular is the *BBM and nothing more. Oh ja, BBM is a glorified Mxit by the way. And it wont be long before Mxit enables BBchat LAWL. Anyhoo, All the things people do with their BB's, I can do with my simple Sony Ericsson Walkman 980i. The point I'm trying to make is, the only reason the BB sells, is because the teeny boppers buy it. How many people do you know, that actually uses the multi email application? (I'm going to get stabbed for this) A Curve doesn't count as a BB. When you have a Bold or a Torch we can talk again hehe. Its only viable to get a BB if you right out say, "I'm getting it for BBM" :P Which I might even do hahahaha sue me!

And don't even get me started on the iPhone. I'd rather save for a car than buy a ridiculously overpriced cellphone. But I suppose, each unto his own? I can go further and make the iPhone-brick comparison, but like I said, the picture speaks for itself. Apple is expensive in South Africa. You don't need a rocket scientist to tell you that. And with the crumbling economy, I feel that it would just be a waste to get you an iPhone. Jy gaan jouself in die voet skiet. But alas, if you can afford it, then why not? Just be prepared to be in your moer in when looking for hardware. My friend was looking for an adapter for her Mac, she was quoted R1700. Redonculous I tell you!!

At the end of the day, I think all the gadgets and toys, are just extensions of peoples ego's. Status symbols and *pie catching LOL. So whats your next phone going to be?

I sat here for the past hour cleaning up this blog. I could'nt believe it. I've had it for more than 3years haha.

This page will just be here for random things. Because for some or other reason when you post notes on FB you are considered emo HAHAHAHA my ass. Oh well, lets see how far this is going to go :)
