I'm amazed at how long it took me to get pissed. So last week, I was invited for an interview. I went there, all prepared, and everything went well. In fact, it went great. Then I was phoned for a call back. Apparently I was one in 4 out of 400 people who got the opportunity.
So on Friday I went back, and only saw the other candidate. Skankishly dressed of course. Because the two bosses are white, Australian men in their mid 30's. Thats beside the point LOL fyi - She got the job! *facepalm
Anyhoo, to my demise, I didnt get the job. Eventhough the interview went great. And a lot of the Staff even said so. This got me thinking. They obviously already knew who they wanted. Because the person had to start today. And I couldnt help but think I was being strung along just so that they could "follow" procedure.
Which brings me to my next point. "DIS MOS LEKKER OM GOEIE MENSE VIR 'n GAT TE VAT!!" (Translation: "Its fun taking good people for a ride" - Said sarcastically of course.)
Because if you think about it, I roughly spent R200 for petrol, wasted two days of my life that I easily could've used to do something else. And more importantly, they created false hope! Yeah yeah, call me bitter. I just think its wrong to string desperate people along, just so you can benefit and scheme. Why bother calling us back, when after the first interview, you already made up your mind? And the icing on the cake was, when I asked the lady, why I was unsuccesful, she could not answer me and I'm in fact still waiting for a reply.
Yes I know life's a bitch. Yes I know this is how the job hunting goes. But I think its wrong. And that these people should go fuck themselves :)
Time is money, and if you waste my time I will get pissed!
