WRITING CHALLENGE DAY #12

#12 SOMEONE YOU MISS

There's actually a few people that I miss. But I've learnt that we are exactly where we're supposed to be, and that if our friendship is meant to last, we will reconnect once more.

RIP Tracy and Ollie
I miss these two. Its weird how they have the exact same personalities hey. They were truly purest at heart. It just shows The Lord only plucks his most beautifulest flowers. I miss Tra especially, because she always kept me on the right path. She always knew exactly what to say, and was the mother goose. No matter what, she kept the group together!

The other people I miss, are some friends I lost on the battlefield which is life. But I suppose things happen for a reason :) I miss the good old days. With less drama. People are too quick to judge nowadays. You win some you lose some I guess. I miss the bond I used to have with my cousin. One which wasn't so easily broken by rumours and other people's mind games and shit. I miss my friend Kiki. Our friendship culminated through weird circumstances, and she was there for me in my darkest hour. I am eternally grateful for what she did for me!! And I miss her dearly. She's the most genuine, non-bullshitter I know. That is most definitely a keeper! :( Then there's Jesse. Something happened along the line. We just totally lost touch. Tracy's passing was real tough on all of us, but I never thought that we'd be estranged. People tend to grow closer in those situations. I guess I was mistaken.

Then I miss my friend Mandy all the way up in Pretoria! Always just being there and joining me whenever I feel the need for some adventure. Regardless of a stupid budget or how tired we both are, or what people might say LOL. Thanks for the good times my friend! Can't wait to see you in October. Whoop whoop!

Missing someone is part of loving them. Not until you are apart do you realize how much they mean to you. - Anonymous

WRITING CHALLENGE DAY #11

#11 SOMETHING UNUSUAL

In today’s life there is nothing unusual anymore. Or rather, nothing shocks me. So I can’t really write about something unusual.

Unless you want me talking about the weather lately. Last year, this time, we had sunny skies. En lente was met ons in volle glorie. Days are really dark and dreary this year. And coooold! I also think the change of season is making people edgy. Especially here at work. But then again, that’s just my opinion. Alas, I will appreciate Summer so much more now. :)

Shit just got real 1.2 - South Africa vs All Blacks EdenPark 14-09-2013

I can’t believe that people are still ranting and raving about this game. To be precise, the referee.

So I decided to give my last two cents. Because this is getting out of control.

Here’s a few facts:

  • 1937 Was the last year The Bokke won at Eden Park
  • During apartheid SARU poisoned referees and players of the All Blacks, 2 days prior to a championship, in order to make it a win for the Bokke -> read here if you don't believe me!
  • During apartheid they paid off certain referees as well
  • The Sprinboks’s sole mission was to rid the AB’s of Dan Carter, which they did
  • But was stunned when Beauden Barrett played an even better game

Now you might ask where does all this come in??

Here goes:

Quit the wining people!!! I think Romain Poite did a fairly good job. That first yellow he gave to Du Plessis is debateable. But considering South Africa’s weak strategy, I think at the end of the day, New Zealand was the better team on the field... PERIOD!

Instead of playing mind games and shit, why did’nt you work out a proper game plan? Ek dink die Springbulle (3/4 van die span bestaan uit Blou Bulle) is net upset omdat hulle plan op groot skaal gebackfire het!! GROOTSKAAL.

The other day someone told me I’m the worst patriot ever. Because I support the All Blacks, I support Arsenal and Germany. Take note, this comes from a Manchester United supporter. When I asked him if he watched local PSL. He answered no. “Vir wat moet ek dai swart mense kyk”. Racist if you ask me. Patriotism, Schmatriotism. En ja ek support die All Blacks want eks op vir die wit mense! Waar is Gio Aplon, Juan de Jongh en die ander GOEIE spelers van kleur? Call me racist if that makes you feel better about yourself lol. Punt bly staan, die current Springbulle is ‘n weaksause span. En geen kind of kraai gaan my van mening laat verander nie. Almal se kind of kleinkind moet gedurig in die span speel. Baantjies vir boeties nog steeds in aksie!!!

Stop blaming the ref, stop blaming the All Blacks. A win is a win, is a win! Accept the inalienable truth: THE ALL BLACKS ARE THE BEST RUGBY TEAM IN THE WORLD! LOL They’ve proved it over and over and over and over and over......

WRITING CHALLENGE DAY #10

# 10 THE WEATHER

What the hell do I write about the weather? (O_o) It’s cold and pouring with rain. Bleh

I didn’t think this day would ever come! Because I love winter, but darn it! Enough is enough hehe. I need some sunshine D in my life yo! And this weather is totally depressing. But then again, we probably need it. Because come Summer we’re going to die in Paarl. I think Paarl is pretty much the closest thing to hell during Summer. Hothothot.

Thanks rain. I know I know, I shouldn’t be ungrateful. But it’s Spring dammit. Gimme some suuuuun!

WRITING CHALLENGE DAY #9

# 9 YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO RIGHT NOW

My favourite thing to do at the moment is drink Green Tea. LOL

Weird I know. I’ve actually come to like it. And it’s hella healthy. Also, there are so many different flavours. I like combining stuff. To see how it turns out.

Like for instance, I bought plain green tea from a Chinese Shop. Now that tastes horrible. But just a squeeze of lime and a dash of cinnamon then its nomnomnom. Other combinations that I’ve tried and tested are:

FRESHLY MADE
·      Green tea and Orange
·      Green tea and Apple Cider
·      Green tea Vanilla extract
·      Green tea and Nutmeg

Then you could always go the already made way. And buy the pre-packed flavours. You get Lipton Green Tea infused with Strawberry, Watermelon, and Plain Lemon. Herbex makes a nice slimmer’s tea. It’s something to get used to. But tastes great with just a few orange drops. You can tastes there’s some cinnamon in there, nutmeg and a few “weight-loss” additives.

All in all there’s nothing like good cuppa tea with an old school tennis biscuit hehe

WRITING CHALLENGE DAY #7

#7 SIBLINGS

Heehee how I love this topic! For I only have one. An older brother. And his name is Vaultboy :) (you should know by now, that I change the names of actual people)

I love this child to death and would literally take a bullet for him. Which is funny because say 10 years ago, all I wanted to do was to strangle him hehe.

When I was in high school we didn't really have a good relationship. But I suppose it was inevitable. Because I was a hella emo kid. Even at the beginning of varsity. But as I grew older, the more I realised that this person is my only link to my family. Like Baz Luhrmann says, " Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future." Which is absolutely true. Because one day when my parents leave this earth, its just going to be the two of us. (Suddenly I'm singing Bill Withers haha)

Anyhoo, I have such huge respect for my brother. And I'm so immensely proud of everything he has accomplished at his age!!! Here isn't nearly enough space to write about everything hehe.

There's 4 life lessons that he's taught me, and it sticks:
  • People always make their own choices. You won't be able to change that.
  • Haters will always hate lol
  • Gotta earn that cash paper money (dollar dollar bills yall heheehe)
  • Don't let people BS you! .

A girl at work told me, she's so envious of our relationship. So I told her, it took time. For instance, back in school, we always fought lol. But when I think about it now, everything he said, everything he did, was out of love and respect. And to teach me the wicked ways of live hehe. He's a no nonsense guy. But can be quite understanding at times. He reminds me a lot of my Granpa who used to say, "Jooong!! Doen die ding soos die ding gedoen moet word". Some people will say he is cold, but I say there is always a method to everything he says and does.

I can rightfully say, that I have the best brother in the whole entire universe :) #truestory He always has this way of surprising me with lols (LOL pics) unaware of the horrible day I'm having. Or in a random convo slipping in something like "I love you sis" etc. And its moments like those I will treasure forever.

Love you brosif! Even though you don't read my blog heehee kidding mwah!!!

WRITING CHALLENGE DAY #6

#6 SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY

This kind of confused me. Should I write about a stranger, celeb or random friend person that lives abroad? Alas, I've decided, I'm going to write about an old friend who lives abroad.

He lives in my favourite country.. The UK! :)

Has a smile that can light up the whole room, and a heart the size of the entire galaxy. We can just call him Smiley. (No he's not fictional lol. I had to change his name)

Smiley has been in and out of my life for the past 13 years. Its been long hey. Sjo! And no matter what, we have kept contact over all the years. Whenever I need an honest opinion, I know he will sort me out. He'll do anything without any questions asked nor the expectation of receiving anything in return. That's how good a friend he is. And most importantly, when you feel at your worst, and your lowest, Smiley will always find a way to make you smile!!!

He moved abroad in 2005 if I'm correct and is missed by many in South Africa. That just shows how a decent, stand up guy he is. And the impact he made in so many lives.

My friend, you know who you are, if I haven't said it before, thank you for your awesome friendship and wisdom. Thanks for teaching me how to live and let go! To ignore the ones who hate us, forgive the ones who hurt us and just to live life like you want to!!

I bid you tons of happiness and luck on your future endeavours and may you only go from strength to strength guy!!!
