iNK!

Some people might say that this is a taboo subject, as tattooing does not sit well with certain folk. I was laughing the other day, my mom was complaining to my hairdresser that I'm going to look like a newspaper soon. She then answered that people must stop being so old fashioned, and that nobody is really going to care when you're old. Your skin is going to sag anyway. So why be bothered by such mundane issues.

I fully agree. Its my body. Deal with it. I'll repent for my sins on my own. So why are you complaining?

Tattooing to me, is a form of self expression. Its something I do for myself. Believe it or not, it has sentimental value. Yes you read right. SENTIMENTAL lol

People often view tattoos as rebellious, and associate it with violence and drugs and gangs. Total and utter BS if you ask me. If you read through The History of Tattooing you will clearly see that tattooing meant more to cultures than being cool or with the "in" crowd. Some tribes valued it because it had some spiritual meaning to them. Others believed it's a way of identification. Point being, people must stop being so narrow-minded and accept the fact that ink clearly is here to stay.

I work at a Law firm and have 4 tattoos where you can see it. My foot, shin, and both forearms. My one boss went as far as saying its classy. And they they don't mind it. So its actually nice to see people actually coming around to the idea.

I'm amped at this very moment. Because soon I will have my thigh done. I'm getting a Koi with some cherry blossoms. It's no secret that I love all things Asian and Japanese :) While the Koi fish represents personal strength and overcoming adversity, the Sakura Blossom (Cherry Blossom), means life and all things in it, namely love, honour, respect and friendship. Things I hold dearest!

So there you have it. Think before you judge people with tattoos!!

Here are the ones i already have :) ignore the dry skin lol

For my love of Music
My 1st one ever
Symbolism of friends and ones who have passed
My faith keeps me going

GUNNER OF THE WEEK

I'm drooling as I write this LOL

My favourite Gunner of the week is none other than Alex Mark David Oxlade-Chamberlain :) I think we should add a Sir to it loool His name sounds so Royal teehee Then again, for his age (21) I think he can be considered as the one of the "royals" amongst his footie peers.

Alex was born in August 1993, Portsmouth England where he made his first soccer debut at the age of 7. He then went on in 2010 to play for the Southampton first team at the mere age of 16. Making him the second youngest (Theo Wallcot being the first) to play for the team. In August of 2011, Alex signed with Arsenal and sadly made his debut on Saturday, 28 August 2011 (The day I shall never forget) in that game against United. (That game we shall not speak of)

By the end of the 2011 Season, Chambo was nominated for the Young Player of the Year award. Unfortunately he lost out to Kyle Walker (Spurs).

Chambo comes from a line of footie pros. Namely his dad Mark Chamberlain who played for Portsmouth, (he is the current coach) His dad also earned National Colours, playing for England. Then there's his uncle, Neville Chamberlain, who played in many teams, Stoke being one of them, and he also went on to play for the English team as well. So as you can see, Mr Ox-Chambo has great footie blood within him!!

Did you know that Alex used to play rugby back in college. Full back and scrum half. But I suppose its obvious. He is very athletic and a really strong player. Hence the nickname, THE OX because of his physical tenacity and powerful playing style. He goes by Chambo as well. As in Rambo! hehe As you can see, he is quite the hottie too. Look at those guns :DDDDD

I love this kid and this is just one more reason why I'm proud to be a Gooner!!

Twee

List of Episodes
To all you tele lovers out there, be it series or movies. I have the best app for juuu.

TWEE!

Yip that's what its called. This app is better than IMBD or Wiki. It tells you exactly what you're watching. From the season to a recap of the episode, till when the next episode is due, or when the new season is starting. So no more searching on google to recap. Or Wiki to see what you have missed.

Yes I am that anal (no pun intended) lol

Episode Guide
As you can see I love me some good tele. No I am not a couch potato. Borderline hmmm maybe bwahahaha.

In this picture you can see how they give you all the details. From the date the episode aired, to the exact name and number of the episode. You can mark all episodes watched too, to keep you on track.

This app is really convenient. Just make sure you have wifi when downloading all the content. Otherwise it will vreet all your data.
I love how user friendly the app is :)

Also, the ads are much less than IMDB. The app run really      smooth and keeps good track of all the Series.
This is why I love Android!!!!

Happy Twee-ing yall

Men you better recognaiiiiiize!

Shit just got real 2.0 #OscarTrial

I'm kinda hesitant writing this piece. Uninformed people should not make statements. LOL When I say uninformed I mean I don't follow the trial daily, I don't have cable (DSTV) so I don't watch the #TheOscarTrial channel either. I read the papers and watch the highlights on the news at night. So don't kill me please (No pun intended) *giggles*

Here's my point of view:

1. When Reeva locked the bathroom door
Now if I'm in a stable relationship or rather me and my beau are serious, I would not feel the need to lock the bathroom door. I trust this person whole-heartedly, so I would comfortable around him. Which begs the question? Why was the door locked?

I would say she was scared. Don't you think? Scared for her life? Hmm debatable. One thing is for sure, Reeva did not want him to enter unexpectedly.

2. Oscars temper tantrums
Lets go back to the Olympics. Where he made a scene about the winners' blades being longer than his. There's also his ex Girlfriend testifying that he went rampant when the cops stopped them in a roadblock and noticed the fire-arm on the seat. Where he then drove off in high speed guns blazing. (Pun intended) There is also the gun/restaurant scenario and I suppose many others to mention.

3. Oscars gun collection and those bullets?
Why does one man need so many guns? Not even going to elaborate on that. I just think there should be a limit in South Africa as to how many guns one person can have.

4. Whatsapp message (This cleary needs to explination)

Now you can argue and say that there's two sides to every story. Well yeah but Reeva isn't here to tell hers! Secondly even a monkey can see that this bloke has a temper and is somewhat insecure not to mention cocky. And no, I'm not being all feminist and shit.

Clearly there was something seriously wrong in their relationship. And its really sad that someone lost a life. But the facts are all here people:

* Oscar is temperamental
* He emotionally abused Reeva
* He fired the gun that killed her (Whether its intentionally or not)

Is he going to sit? I don't know. He must be so glad we don't have a Jury Duty system. Otherwise he would've rotted in jail by now.

At the end of the day I just hope that our judicial system does not fail us yet again, and that he gets what is coming to him.

Kindly note that I did not mention Mr Barry Roux - I put it to you, because honestly, he is a joke, and I think he is trying to pull a rabbit out of a monkeys ass.

BITTEN

Because I'm bored, and refuse to discuss the raping of the weekend (CFCvAFC) I have decided to talk about my new favorite show, Bitten :)

I have always been a lover of the fantasy world and the creatures in it. It's no surprise that I like this series too. No matter how cheezy it is lol

This morning I discovered that the series is actually based on books by author, Kelly Amstrong, Women of the Otherworld . (Already ordering some online heehee) Bitten is a Canadian series which centers around Elena Michaels (See, cheezy, coz its like Elena in Vampire Diaries) who is the only female werewolf and who is torn between two lives. Her human life, and the life with her werewolf family.

The series starts off slow, and you actually become irritated with Elena, until the others (Danvers family) are introduced, things start getting steamy and raunchy heehee. The show has right amount of action, drama, intrigue and mystery. Not to mention all the eye candy. Yeah yeah I'm a total girly girl right about now. Never has being a werewolf seemed so sexy (yes people, sex sells). Finally there's somethings other than Vampires on the magic box and the werewolves are being represented!!

You can almost say, Bitten is like Teen Wolf for adults. Because some of the scenes are a tad bit explicit. My favourite in the series is of course the broody Mr Clayton Danvers played by the buch and oh so shexy Greyston Holt. yumeeee The chemistry between him and Elena is electrifying and the the little love triangle. Scandalous loool

Nonetheless, the show is awesome, and a great way to spend those cold winter nights! Rooibos tea and an eat-sum-more here I come heehee

GUNNER OF THE WEEK

As you all know, I'm an Arsenal supporter since birth hehe. To pass some time I thought I'd post a weekly titbit of my favorite first team players.

So this weeks Gunner of the week is none other than

French hottie Olivier Giroud
Chaud chaud chaud!! (Hot hot hot in Engrish) Have you seen that flock of hair!!!

Giroud was born September 30th, 1986 (Wow he's my age) in the French town of Chamberry. At the mere age of 13 his football career started playing for Grenoble. Six years later he got his first professional contract. That only lasted for two seasons where he was then transferred to Montpellier. There he scored a staggering 21 goals in 27 appearances in the Ligue, giving them a title.

In July 2012 Arsenal aquired him for a fee of 12million pounds

For our 2013/2014 season alone he scored 12 goals in 27 appearances. His aerial mobility and technical skill makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Just a pity there's rumors that he might be leaving Arsenal due to his indiscretions lol. The wife gave him an ultimatum. Alas, I hope he stays though, otherwise this will mean we will be short yet another striker.

O well, lets hope for the best :)

My Kimi poodle

Quite the little diva she is. This morning she didn't want to get out of bed. Most probably because of the weather. As I was getting ready for work she just wiggled her way under the blankies, deeper and deeper. As if to say "aah, you go work, I'll just lie here and do nothing" lol.

I really love this pup and her quirky moods. When have you ever seen a dog only walking on the patches of dry cement. Like it's an obstacle course.
Refusing to wet her pretty little paws. Jumping/trotting from one dry spot to another. Until we're in my parents place again. It baffles me each time I see it :) But that's my girl. Knows what she wants and how to get it. Every morning when she sees my dad it's like he's the best thing ever. Just to sit on his lap, makes her the happiest little pooch I've seen.

She really is my bff. When I'm sad, she comforts me by rubbing her wet nose against me. When I'm happy she jumps playfully up and down and when I'm angry she sits close by me. I bet it's to growl when someone angers me more hehe
My Kimi poodle. My personal little guardian Angel! Love her always xxx

When you see it :)

45 minutes

So last week I had to go in for a minor operation. Geeeez Luiz was I stressed. And all for nothing LOL

My Anesthetist told me no eating after 10pm the night before. So that already had me panicking #facepalm No midnight snack for meee. Kidding heehee

Anyhoo, I went in at 6am the morning. They prepped me and everything. I was third on the theater list. So they gave me a mild sedative at 8am. Already I was feeling easy breezy loool. The ride to the theater was also fun. Never have I ever been in a hospital bed. Considering I worked there for 2 years on and off, this was all quite new to me. But the big G kept me calm and collected.

As I went into theater I still remember my Anesthetist making silly jokes. I recognized one of the nurses there. I still asked her how she's doing lol. LAME I know *scratches head* who does that! She's trying to be as professional as possible, and here I am prying into her life. But I blame the sedative hehe. Anything is like horse tranquilizers to me. Knocks me the fook out.

The last thing I remember was when the Anesthetist told me told inhale in the mask. He said it was so that they can monitor my breathing. Lies! lol But a good one :) Soos 'n ou perd, doen ek nog wat hy sĂȘ, and it was lights out. 45 minutes of my life that I will never remember and never ever get back. I vaguely remember them sticking the heart monitor thingys on my chest. But that was it.

Before I knew it, it was over. And they woke me in the recovery area. Telling me to breathe. I still felt how they removed the tube from my throat. After that I was in and out of consciousness for approximately 4hours. That's when the pain started. But I won't bore you with the details. The op was a success though. Thanks be to God :) Now we're just waiting on the results. #crossingthumbs

The whole "trip" was fun and an experience. The Staff of Medi Clinic Paarl made it fun hehe. No stress no worries. I would go again bwahahaha *touch wood*

Skinny bitches be trippin!

"There should be a weight limit on leggings, tights, skinny jeans."

This shit right here, irritates the living day lights out of me!!

Who died and made you God. Let people damn well wear what they want to. Whether they look bad in it or not. Not for you to decide. If people feel comfortable in their own skin, no matter the size, who are you to judge?

I fucking hate it when skinny bitches, (yeah I went there) comment on the plus size ladies. What they wear etc. Its rude, not to mention revolting. Because the moment we say they look anorexic, skinny, skeletorial, "when they lift up their arms, they'll fall through their ass," lol, then the whole world goes ballistic. I myself am a fuller figure. I'm damn proud of it. Just because I am not all skin and bones does not mean that makes me less of a person, and makes you skinny bitches better than us.

Keep your snotty commentary to yourself. I find it ironic though. Its always the not so pretty ones, (yeah I went there too) that has the most to say about people that's over weight or people who doesn't fit "their" weight standards. So from me to you, go work on your face!!

Note that I didn't want to mention people, FROM PAARL who's tweeted such things repeatedly. They know who they are ;)

FOOD FOR THOUGHT :)

No money more problems

"THE South African economy is underperforming as it slips into continued tepid growth, Standard Bank chief economist Goolam Ballim"

I'm sitting here getting hella pissed at one of our creditors. She keeps on harassing me about when we're going to pay her. And the more I explain that our bookkeeper will get to it asap, the more she's complaining.

Now you would think that we are being unreasonable. But not really. Her account always gets paid round about the 15th. After expressing my frustration with one of my colleagues, she told me that I shouldn't be so harsh. This lady might be in need of the money. Like an emergency or something. So the other colleague just said that with the economy of today, it shouldn't be surprising that more and more people are getting impatient when it comes the money matters. And it dawned on me, she's right. Every bit helps right?

I seriously think SA is in a downward spiral. The increasing fuel price, property, tax, telecoms and vehicle rates that just keep on escalating, and that its the highest in the WORLD!!!! The price of everything is increasing. Necessities, food, clothing, property rates and taxes, municipal bill. EVERYTHING, yet our salaries remain the same. The poor gets poorer and the rich gets richer.

For the love of God I also can't understand why we are the only people in the Western Cape that has to pay an electricity levy? You buy R200 prepaid electricity and you only get 109 units!! Are you fucking jas! In the City of Cape Town there is no such thing. I cant help but feel that this Municipality is cheating us. Then there's the water and refuse. Why are some peoples accounts (With more or less the same usage) sky high and others really low. My one boss is such a perfectionist. He actually came across the error. And found that they are over billing him. He literally went and counted his meter repeatedly for two months, and used the same calculation they did, and found that they over billed him one month for R4900. And there is many more instances like that. Yet the tax payer cant do anything....

Back to my previous point. People will become more relentless if this keep on happening. They will be more demanding when it comes to money owed to them, because they need it fill other holes. The upper class of course, will obviously not feel this drought. The reason I'm saying that is because I've experienced it first hand with clients. And they all seem to be medium to lower class working folk.

All we can do is pray and hope that someone comes up with a better solution. A more sustainable one.

This really is a sad world we live in. Always prepare for the worst, and don't buy those shoes lol

6 Months Later

Wowee

What an awesome ride this was. Still is

So I've been neglecting this blog for the past six months. Guess boredom struck, because I fiddled with it here and there. Gave it a fresh new look if you want to call it that.

Lets recap the last 6 months.

Well the writing challenge was a bust lol. I realized I actually don't like writing so much about myself. And that it actually bores me. I'll rather write about things that interest me. Or irks me. Now with that I won't have a problem hey hehehe.

Furthermore, people got engaged, people got married, had babies, clubs revamped, people got fired, got employed, found Jesus etc.

Went through some stuff myself. Not going to mention it though.

The most significant and tragic thing I can think of is the passing of a great icon and thee freedom fighter, Mr Nelson Mandela. The nation was scarred, and a lot has happened since then. I guess they're dealing with it as time goes on.

Hot off the press though is the #OscarPistoriusTrial. (Which I shall elaborate on later during the week of course). So many things to say. One thing that kinda pisses me off though is the South Africans all being judge and jury (Not that I'm defending him). Imagine if we had a Jury Duty system. Sjo!

Speaking of Oscar, The Academy Awards was on Monday. I can't believe Leo lost again. Kinda think Matthew didn't deserve it. Leo should have won it alooooong time ago. Kudos to Lupita though. Although I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm sure I will get to it this weekend.

So yeah, that's the last 6 Months in a nutshell. Find my thoughts on the #OscarPistoriusTrial in my next installment of Shit Just got real :)

Love peace and chicken grease!!
