So last week I had to go in for a minor operation. Geeeez Luiz was I stressed. And all for nothing LOL
My Anesthetist told me no eating after 10pm the night before. So that already had me panicking #facepalm No midnight snack for meee. Kidding heehee
Anyhoo, I went in at 6am the morning. They prepped me and everything. I was third on the theater list. So they gave me a mild sedative at 8am. Already I was feeling easy breezy loool. The ride to the theater was also fun. Never have I ever been in a hospital bed. Considering I worked there for 2 years on and off, this was all quite new to me. But the big G kept me calm and collected.
As I went into theater I still remember my Anesthetist making silly jokes. I recognized one of the nurses there. I still asked her how she's doing lol. LAME I know *scratches head* who does that! She's trying to be as professional as possible, and here I am prying into her life. But I blame the sedative hehe. Anything is like horse tranquilizers to me. Knocks me the fook out.
The last thing I remember was when the Anesthetist told me told inhale in the mask. He said it was so that they can monitor my breathing. Lies! lol But a good one :) Soos 'n ou perd, doen ek nog wat hy sĂȘ, and it was lights out. 45 minutes of my life that I will never remember and never ever get back. I vaguely remember them sticking the heart monitor thingys on my chest. But that was it.
Before I knew it, it was over. And they woke me in the recovery area. Telling me to breathe. I still felt how they removed the tube from my throat. After that I was in and out of consciousness for approximately 4hours. That's when the pain started. But I won't bore you with the details. The op was a success though. Thanks be to God :) Now we're just waiting on the results. #crossingthumbs
The whole "trip" was fun and an experience. The Staff of Medi Clinic Paarl made it fun hehe. No stress no worries. I would go again bwahahaha *touch wood*
