iNK!

Some people might say that this is a taboo subject, as tattooing does not sit well with certain folk. I was laughing the other day, my mom was complaining to my hairdresser that I'm going to look like a newspaper soon. She then answered that people must stop being so old fashioned, and that nobody is really going to care when you're old. Your skin is going to sag anyway. So why be bothered by such mundane issues.

I fully agree. Its my body. Deal with it. I'll repent for my sins on my own. So why are you complaining?

Tattooing to me, is a form of self expression. Its something I do for myself. Believe it or not, it has sentimental value. Yes you read right. SENTIMENTAL lol

People often view tattoos as rebellious, and associate it with violence and drugs and gangs. Total and utter BS if you ask me. If you read through The History of Tattooing you will clearly see that tattooing meant more to cultures than being cool or with the "in" crowd. Some tribes valued it because it had some spiritual meaning to them. Others believed it's a way of identification. Point being, people must stop being so narrow-minded and accept the fact that ink clearly is here to stay.

I work at a Law firm and have 4 tattoos where you can see it. My foot, shin, and both forearms. My one boss went as far as saying its classy. And they they don't mind it. So its actually nice to see people actually coming around to the idea.

I'm amped at this very moment. Because soon I will have my thigh done. I'm getting a Koi with some cherry blossoms. It's no secret that I love all things Asian and Japanese :) While the Koi fish represents personal strength and overcoming adversity, the Sakura Blossom (Cherry Blossom), means life and all things in it, namely love, honour, respect and friendship. Things I hold dearest!

So there you have it. Think before you judge people with tattoos!!

Here are the ones i already have :) ignore the dry skin lol

For my love of Music
My 1st one ever
Symbolism of friends and ones who have passed
My faith keeps me going
